Windows 7 media center library problem

Tuesday, July 7, PM. Solution Found! I know I have all of the correct codecs installed, so I started checking permissions. I then removed all library entries, closed Media Player, then re-added all entries, and waited for Media Player to finish indexing them.

I just opened Media Center, and everything is back again! I'm not sure if the permission thing did fix the issue, as recreating my library 5 times or so may have fixed the issue.

When entering the 7MC music library Albums view the library looks like its rebuilding itself. The number of albums is increasing slowly, the covers aren't visible and the default icons appear and then disappear, flashing, it eventually gets to the correct numbers of albums count, but becomes unresponsive you have to exit and go back in to the Music library several times before it finally settles down again and you then see all your albums with the covers.

It's not just the Music Library, it also happens with the Picture Library in my case, and with 40, pictures, this is more than a bit tiresome. Sign in. United States English. Ask a question.
