SAVY — Summer Academy at Vanderbilt for the Young Day Program — Each summer rising 1 st through 7 th grade students take part in a variety of advanced courses taught by content experts.

Weekly sessions take place on Vanderbilt campus and are available for all grades in the months of June and July. WAVU — Weekend Academy at Vanderbilt University Day Program — An immersive academic experience on Vanderbilt Campus for current 7 th through 12 th gra de students that offers students a career exploration opportunity in a field of interest or curio sity.

Students live on campus and take advanced level courses taught by VU faculty , graduate students , and content experts in a challenging yet supportive environment. Virtual Programs. PTY Online Academy - Virtual Program - PTY Online Academy is an online learning opportunity for 3 rd through 12 th grade students that offers synchronous class experiences for the academically advanced students.

Outside of class students complete asynchronous assignments and meet during office hours with their instructor or teaching assistant for additional help. PTY Mentor Immersion - Virtual Program - Mentor Immersion at PTY a unique virtual experience designed for 10th through 12th grade students offering in-depth exposure in a field and the potential for independent research or a culminating product to be created with expert feedback.

If paired with a mentor in the field, students will participate in weekly meetings with their mentor and approximately other students in the same mentorship experience over the course of the program. Rising 7th and 8th grade students can attend both the residential VSA program and day Career Connections program. It is important to note that the application timeline for Career Connections and VSA are slightly different if a student is applying to both programs.
