Installing vanity light junction box




















Start the process of installing the new vanity light by securing its new bracket to the junction box. After that, connect the ground wire to the new bracket. Now, find the small green screw on the bracket; Loop the ground wire around this screw at least once, and then tighten it. Do not forget to leave enough ground wire at the end to connect it to your light fixture.

Once the ground wire is connected to the new bracket, it is time to connect the wires of the new light fixture to the wires on the wall.

Last but not least, connect the black wires with wire nuts. To apply wire nuts, all you need to do is put the ends of both wires in the wire nut and rotate it clockwise until it is tightened. Before tightening the screws, you should check if the lighting works properly. To get a snug fit, you may need to make some adjustments. There are shallow, square, round, rectangular, weatherproof, and extension boxes. More detail here. You should not continue the installation.

Instead, it is best to contact the place where you purchased this vanity light and request an exchange. It depends on the size of the junction box. Junction boxes play a vital role in electrical installations. Next, using your voltage detector, double check that the power to your current lighting fixture is indeed off.

We live in a builder grade house, therefore we were given the gift of these beautiful broadway vanity lights. Also, by beautiful I mean, tolerable, but not very appealing.
